Topic Selection & Pitching to the team

• We each selected our own topics, researched alittle background information and how it can be improved on using ChatGPT before pitching.
• Our selected topic was my Portable Water Purification System.
• I provide more in depth information from ChatGPT like the advantages and disadvantage in terms of their desirability, feasibility and viability before discussing with the team.

Problem Statements + Purpose Statement ( Ideal, Gap & Goal)

• We discussed about the ideal Portable Water Purification System, and how it should be equipped with the necessary technology to effectively filter all contaminants, while improving its sustainability.
• Using ChatGPT, I researched on the current LifeStraw filter and gotten a list of pros and cons. We discuss together on which cons we want address, therefore collectively decided on the gaps of the purification system.
• Using ChatGPT, I researched on potential solutions that can be integrated easily while providing more benefits than the existing technology, that would be our goal for LifeStraw (Solution was implementing Graphene Oxide Filter).

Report Discussion

• The team discussed on which area in the report each of us will be doing, and split the workload evenly.
• The team came up with a rough outline of the report and consulted with Prof Brad, clarifying our doubts before attempting a draft.
• I did a draft for the introduction and background information on LifeStraw and its targeted audience (ChatGPT was used to find sources and grammer checking).
